Divine Mercy Chapel

“Come to me, all you who labor and are overburdened, and I will give you rest.” (Mt. 11:28)

  The Chapel of Divine Mercy was dedicated by Bishop Louis DeSimone on May 26, 2003.

  Since that day, believers have spent many holy hours before the Blessed Sacrament in prayerful adoration of Jesus. Through exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the daily celebration of Mass continues to sanctify and reconcile God's people as they enjoy prayerful worship of their Lord Jesus. The chapel offers everyone the opportunity to allow the power of the Eucharistic celebration to continue in their lives, growing stronger and more fruitful, moving them to a dynamic witness to the presence of the kingdom and, then, drawing them back to Mass.

  This holy time before the Most Blessed Sacrament also gives believers the opportunity to offer prayer for our parish community, for family and friends, for vocations and for the needs of the world. Coming before Jesus, our Intercessor before the Father, they join with Him through the celebration of Mass to plead for mankind. Exposition of the Eucharist reminds them that, being one with Jesus in the celebration of the Eucharist, they are also to be one with Him in the work of proclaiming the presence of the kingdom of God. This Eucharistic sign of Jesus' presence and of their unity with Him gives them the wisdom and strength to do all things well in Jesus' Name.

  People that have committed themselves to adoration of the Blessed Sacrament have seen their faith grow, relationships healed, forgiveness offered and received, along with many other “miracles” in their own lives and in the lives of their loved ones.

  The Divine Mercy Chapel is attached to our church building between the rectory and the church. A brick walkway from the front of the church is well lit at night and leads to the chapel doors. There is a small parking lot between the church and the rectory. Parking is also available across Old Soldiers Road, near the train station.

  The Blessed Sacrament is ordinarily exposed on the following days:

• Monday - Thursday: 7:00am to 11:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am - 9:00pm
• Saturday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

  The Blessed Sacrament will not be exposed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas day, New Year's Day,   Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, and during the Easter Triduum: Holy Thursday,

  Good Friday, Holy Saturday; or whenever ice and snow or other conditions would prevent people from spending time before the Eucharist.
