Home / Intercessory Prayer Night

Since the beginning of the summer, 2005, each Tuesday evening parishioners have been gathering in our Blessed Sacrament Chapel to pray for all of our parish! They voluntarily spend an hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament: they selflessly leave their own needs and intentions outside the chapel in order to present the needs of the parish in prayer. They are good people who have the good of the parish at heart. They trust in the power of prayerful intercession before Jesus.

Since the purpose of this Hour of Intercession is to pray for the entire parish, I am inviting all our members to join us in prayer. Contact your Catholic neighbors to inform them of the Hour of Intercession, in case they are not aware of it, and to invite them to join us as a family in Christ. The hour is just that – one hour, 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. each Tuesday. We use Scripture, hymns, litanies, rosary, time for private prayer, and Benediction – all within one hour. That’s all there is to it. And yet, it is so important and powerful. We offer this hour as a sacrifice; we give the time to Jesus for the parish and let God work as He chooses.
