Parish Family Ministry

The God-given value of  family life is a basic predisposition of Catholic theology and philosophy. It is here that children first learn how to pray or see the face of God n the eyes of their parents. The family is the place where children discover their basic value as human beings and the love that God has for them as they find it in their parents. The family is the basic building block of any society. As the family goes, so goes the society. Well, here in Presentation BVM Parish we will try to do something about protecting the value of family.

We will study how to minister to the family as family – not just by adding activities, e.g. sports, dancing, etc, as good as they are. We will seek out a way to create the atmosphere where the whole family thrives as a unit. The work has begun with the efforts of Deacon Bill Cella. In his recuperation from surgery he has begun to study how other parishes and diocese help families grow without dividing the members into various activities and timetables. This will be a long term process and will involve many ideas and eventually many volunteers.
